Does America Trust In God?

Does America Trust In God?

As it was in Noah's day, so shall

it be at Christ's coming.

Just look at our nation—

and how wicked it's becoming!

Many families are falling apart...

and here's the reason why...

We've exchanged God's truth

for a corruptible lie.

Professing to be wise, we have become fools.

By exchanging God's word for

our own “set of rules.”

Doing “whatever feels right” according

to our interpretation.

Our sinful “pleasures” have brought

God's wrath on our nation.

Promoting homosexuality and perversion of every kind.

We have violated the conscience

God placed in our mind.

Becoming very arrogant, boastful

and filled with pride.

This “mountain of garbage” has washed

ashore with an ungodly tide.

Our only hope in this stink and filth

we find ourselves in.

Is coming to Jesus Christ...and repent of every sin!

Heaven or hell? Which place would you rather be?

Living in bondage, or to have your

chains removed and be set free!

Jesus…  Our only hope in

 uncertainty and fear.

Remember his coming draws ever so close…

it's almost here!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
