As It Was in Noah's Day

As It Was In Noah’s Day!

A very evil and wicked generation this is becoming!

God’s word warns us that his judgment is coming!

As it was in the days of Noah...  So it is today!

We really need to listen to what God has to say!

His word speaks of the coming of the son of man.

It also speaks of much wickedness throughout the land!

If this world wasn’t spared during Noah…  What’s happen now?

God’s righteous judgment well fall on everyone…  And HOW!

Jesus…  The door to safety…  Will be closing very soon!

We need to come to him!  While there still is room!

We need to accept God’s mercy and unfailing grace!

Before his wrath is poured out on the human race!

May we seek the mercy of God, and repent of all our sins!

May we come to him now!  Before more trouble begins!

This world is a mess!  We don’t need anyone to remind us!

Let’s seek God’s forgiveness!  Before his wrath finds us!

God is our only hope!  He’s a mighty fortress very secure!

Only he can give life eternal and love, that’s 100% pure!

Dear God…   Please touch our hearts with your fire!

That worshiping and serving you

 will be our upmost desire!

Only God is our faithful and everlasting friend!

May we all come to HIM!  Before this world ends!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
