You're Not Ashamed of Christ...

You’re Not Ashamed of Christ…  Are You?

Are you an example of those

 who aren’t afraid to say…

“I’m going to bow my head

 to the Lord and pray.”

Are you an example of those with a Christ- like mind?

And give Jesus ALL…  Not just some of your time?

Are you an example of those who’ll take a stand?

Against the tide of evil

all throughout this land?

Are you someone, even if you’re just one person?”

Who won’t be pulled down,

by others complaining and cursin’?

Are you an example of those

 to teach the younger generation…

That living for God will give us a solid foundation?

Are you an example of someone to be found?

Who’ll spread the gospel

to every city and town?

Are you an example?  Can we look to YOU?

Who’ll try to live the way Jesus wants us to?

Are you an example, with the courage to live…

And be like Christ with the willingness to FORGIVE!

As Christ’ example…  Let me make this point.

Jesus is faithful!  And he will NEVER disappoint!

Can we trust to follow Christ?  Most assuredly YES!

In HIM we can all find a security,

 a peace and a REST!

Will you be an example? And shine your life to him?

So others will know, what it means to be “born again!”

His example of love can be yours and mine…

Let’s give Christ our best!

  While there’s still time!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
