I'd Like to Tell You about Jesus!

I ‘d Like to Tell You About Jesus!

I’d like to tell you about Jesus! My dear friend!

And share about the day I became born again!

I remember the time and place when I was broken.

And the words “Jesus help me,” were spoken.

At first I wasn’t sure of what I should do.

This kind of thing was something that was new.

I heard of him before.  And doubted he was there.

But soon, I could feel his presence everywhere!

I cried and call out to him to give me a chance.

I needed some help and love, in my circumstance!

After I called his name, I felt his love within me.

I heard his voice, saying how much he loved me!

I felt the darkness I was carrying “fall all around.”

And felt the hand of God, pick me up from the ground.

He cleansed all my sin! What a change there was!

His precious spirit touched my life from above!

Won’t you ask this same Jesus for mercy and salvation?

Right now…  This day…  You can be a NEW creation!

You can have a relationship with the creator of mankind!

This can be your opportunity!  This can be your time!

To have fellowship with him, is a very beautiful thing!

And a one to one commitment with the king of kings!

Please come sweet Jesus, and touch us with your fire.

That serving and loving you, will be our desire!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
