Satan Wants The Worst for Me!

Satan Wants The Worst for Me!

Satan came around to boldly tempt me.

He knew my spiritual life

was almost empty.

He knew that I didn’t take time for prayer.

He wanted me to think God wasn’t there!

He knew I had been in this

 situation before.

Without God, I couldn’t take any more!

He knows my weaknesses

and faults throughout.

Destroying me is what he is all about!

I’ll admit, that me sins do lay before me.

But I know that Jesus is always with me!

The trials I have and deep struggles within.

This is part of a problem that God calls sin.

When I face a difficult kind of situation…

I often get caught in a strong temptation.

I cry out to Jesus when things go wrong.

When I am weak, he remains STRONG!

He gives the power and strength to overcome!

All praise and glory to God’s

 anointed one!

Satan wants the worst.

 Jesus wants the best!

Please help me Lord to

 not settle for less!

What Satan tempts as a

“fulfilling temptation...”

Doesn’t stand up to God’s

 glorious salvation!

Jesus brings healing and

satisfaction within.

He is and will always

 be my BEST FRIEND!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
