The Sin of Leading Others Astray

There is a unfortunate sin
 in churches today.
It's the sin of leading
 others astray.

Being an example of Christ
 is an awesome thing.
Have you thought of the
responsibility this brings?

We...   As God's children must not
compromise his word.
When preaching the gospel to those
who haven't heard.

Others are looking at me
and also at you
What happens when we're not living
like we ought to do?

We needn't be ashamed of what
God's done for us!
In Christ alone...  We're to put
our faith and trust!

His word says, "A little yeast ruins
the loaf of bread."
Many have " compromised..".
and are "spiritually dead?"

Stand FIRM in Christ.
He'll draw all men to him.
Will you lead others to Jesus?
Or lead others to sin???

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
