Jesus Came And Set Me Free!

Jesus came and listened to me.

Praise his name, he set me free!

He listened to the words I confessed.

I was filled with worries and stress.

I didn’t know which way to go or turn.

He listened and was very concerned!

He took all of my worries and sin.

He brought victory and joy within!

Hallelujah!  I don’t have to

 live in the past.

Jesus brings a love that will

always last!

The freedom he brings is pure delight.

Whatever my problem,

 it’ll be alright!

Glory to his name!  I love him so much!

I received his blessings

 and loving touch!

He makes a way in the darkest hour!

I received from him victory and power!

He brings power over habits

 to be defeated!

With him as Lord, I’m forever

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
