You Reject Me, Yet Claim to Be
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

You Reject Me, Yet Claim to Be Christ’s Example…

You say you follow Christ

and yet never talk to me.

And act ilke  you don't

want to be with me!

Perhaps another time?  You’re busy right now?

I want to talk with you.  I’m not sure how.

You promised to listen,

but “don’t have the time.”

Whenever I get near you…  You leave me behind.

You say you want to show me salvation’s plan.

Yet don’t want to reach out your hand.

You act like want me to

come to the next church meeting.

But deep inside…  My heart is “bleeding…”

You say you’re concerned,

but are never there .

When I stop by, you don’t even care.

You say this Christ you love, loves me too.

Are these simply words.?  Is this true?

You say a lot of words and do many things

I want to know what God’s love truly means

Will you say that you’ll take time for me?

What kind of “Christian” do you want me to be?

Will you share and teach me God’s ways?

So I too can live for him now and always?

Will you give me the love Christ has given?

So I too can have my sins forgiven!

Thank you for listening to

 my heart-felt prayer…

Thanks for listening.

and for being there!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
