Jesus, I Praise Your Name!

Jesus, I Praise Your Name!

Jesus, may it be my passion

 and burning desire…

To praise your name

 and lift it higher!

May I be the example you

 wish me to be.

May it be you that others

 would see!

I need to spend time

with you alone.

I ask you to be the lord

 of my home.

 I want to daily meditate

 on your words.

Your words of life need

to be stirred.

I want to tell others of your

 wonderful name.

May I not bring embarrassment

or shame.

I want your goodness to fill my soul.

Help me to walk humbly

 wherever I go!

I need you Jesus,

more than ever before!

You bring abundant life,

and much more!

You’re the one that fills me completely!

You’ve blessed my life rather sweetly!

I lift up your name!

It’s your life I choose!

You give unspeakable joy

 and eternal GOOD NEWS!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
