What Happened to Churches Today?

What Happened to Churches Today?

Where is the power of God in church today?

Are people “too busy” to seek HIM and pray?

Where can we find God’s followers?  His chosen?

Have their lives become “spiritually frozen?

Are there churches that aren’t ashamed of his word?

Not ashamed to preach it to those who never heard?

We need those not afraid to take a Godly stand!

In the midst of the corruption all over this land!

Where are God’s people who are witnessing?

Preaching God’s word to those who are listening?

Where is Christ bride, without wrinkle or spot?

The bride in love with Jesus and blood bought?

Where are Christ’ followers

who aren’t ashamed of him?

Even if they’re persecuted before men!

Where are the elect?  Few and far between.

Who love Jesus Christ MORE than anything!

I pray that we’re not ashamed of the gospel!

No matter how much this world seems “hostile.”

As Christ’ followers, we must come together as one!

Bringing praise and glory to God’s risen son!

May God’s power cleanse our lives throughout!

This is what living for Jesus is all about!

May God’s truth and power be always revealing…

As it brings to us a new purpose and meaning!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
