I'm Not a Politician!

Iím Not A PoliticianÖ

Thereís one thing that I make no pretention.

Iím in no way what youíd call a ďpolitician.Ē

I donít try to get involved in the ďpolitics of the day.Ē

But I do try to listen to what God has to say!

Iím not interested in what numbers the polls will bring.

Iíd rather trust Jesus, who can take care of everything!

The good news, is that the bad news is all wrong!

My life with Christ, is where I certainly belong!

Christ is my hope and focus!† Iíd rather believe him!

I donít trust what I watch or hear from the news men!

In Godís kingdom there are no politics involved!

Every problem facing me..† Christ already solved!

I want Jesus to be my lifeís focus and attention!

May the Holy Spirit guide me into a Godly direction!

With Jesus in my heartÖ† Iím joyful and glad!

I know Iíll never see him on any political ad!

He is and will always be the one that Iíll need!

Heís not corrupted by wickedness and greed!

No matter how you may believe this world will be end!

Christ will always be one that you trust and depend!

You donít have to wait for a ballot to come to you!

Vote for Jesus today!† His presence is all around you!

Thereís no limit to the terms of life heís giving!

Heíll bless you within and give everlasting living!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
