God's Word Doesn't Compromise!

God’s Word Doesn’t Compromise!

Many in churches don’t want to offend.

They’re too afraid they’ll “lose a friend.”

They don’t want to preach the truth of God’s word.

People’s hearts might be convicted and “stirred.”

Holy Ghost’s conviction seems to be in the past.

Many want a “freedom,” they think will last.

Meanwhile, they’re entangled in dark sins.

They don’t know when freedom in Christ begins!

They often twist God’s word into a corruptible lie.

They aim to please with whatever “satisfies.”

Many in church indulge in sins of the flesh.

And later they wind up into one huge mess!

God commands his body to be filled with holiness!

They need to seek God’s power and righteousness!

Pastors need to preach God’s word in convicting power!

Jesus is coming soon!  It could be this very hour!

Now’s the time for people in churches to confess!

It’s being sold out for Jesus!  NOTHING less!

Let’s be separate from the world’s flesh and desires!

Let’s lift up the mighty name of Jesus higher and higher!

A hunger for a deep compassion and truth is what’s needed!

Only then can eternal life with Jesus ever be completed!

Now’s is the time for church to hear the savior’s call!

Without Jesus as our sure foundation, we will FALL!

Let’s not trade God’s word for an

adulterous generation!

Without Bible-filled preaching,

we’re doomed as a nation!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
