Why Am I Here?

Iím not here to represent a

building or a denomination.

Iím here to give the Lord my love

and admiration.

Iím not here to get ďtied down

with wordly things.Ē

Iím here to represent Jesus!

The King of Kings!

Iím not here to be filled with

gossip or slander.

But to serve a God, whoís

power is grander!

Iím not here to live

†in worry and defeatÖ

But to allow God to make

my life complete!

Iím not here to live with

stress and tension.

But to receive Godís peace

and satisfaction.

Iím not here to worry about what

tomorrow my bring.

But to serve a GodÖ

Who can do ANYTHING!

Iím not here to live a life

filled with sin...

But to enjoy Godís love

and peace within!

Iím here for just a brief

moment of time.

I want to serve God with

my body, soul and mind.

Iím here right nowÖAnd have

one more thing to sayÖ

Why not make Christ your Lord?

Why not today???

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
