How Many... Witness For Christ?
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

How Many...   Witness For Christ?

I heard a preacher preach

 and proclaim.

He said; "we need to

witness in Jesus' name!"

I asked him; "How many in your

 church witness?"

"How many will tell others of Jesus

 before next Christmas?"

"We can't tell how many."

 "That would be judgemental."

"We want to be a loving church."

"Safe and enviromental."

"If we ask people how many witness..."

 "What would they say?"

"Hello!" "I'm a church member."

"I hope you have a nice day!"

"Few have actually memorized

scripture in their head."

"If they were to witness."

"No telling what would be said."

How dare these people profess

 to be a Christian!

Is Christ their true love

 Their "prized possession?"

Perhaps if he was their true love

Many more would speak in boldness.

And seek a sacrificial way of

 living and holiness!

Sharing Christ must be our

 desire and ambition...

So others may receive much

 needed spiritual nurtition.

Sharing Christ with others,
is what we're called to do...

The choice is yours...

 It's up to you!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
