My Testimony...

My Testimony…

I remember the day I became born again.

I repented to God

 all my sin.

Many verses from scripture I read.

Each night, before I went to bed.

At first, there was an excitement

 that began to rise .

People saw it, as they looked into my eyes.

I couldn't believe what was

 happening to me!

As the chains were broken and I was FREE!

As the years went by,

 my heart grew cold.

What a mess I'd become... "A sight to behold."

I allowed sin to build and find a

resting place.

The look of defeat could be seen on my face.

What would I do, or where would I turn?

The sin inside me began to "burn."

I called out to God with

 a desperate prayer.

I cried out; "God... Are you still there?"

He answered; "I am here

and I patiently wait."

"Give me your life, before it's too late!"

In a moment of time,

I reached out my hand.

I knew then he loved me and

would understand.

He restored to me the joy of his salvation.

Now, in Christ... I have a solid foundation.

Old things have passed...

All has become new!

What he's done for me,

he can do for YOU!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
