Witnessing for Christ...

Witnessing For Christ...

I want to witness for Christ.

 And to be instrumental.

But when I ask others to do it...

 I'm told I'm "judgemental."

"You can't ask how many in church

have shared Christ with others."

"How dare you ask this question

 of your sisters and brothers!"

I thought this was why we call

ourselves a "Christ follower?"

However, I can tell that many

 "don't want to be bothered."

Why witness to others?  This may "offend!"

Many in church may

 even lose "a friend."

The gift of salvation must

 forever be shared.

Where is the passion?

 Does anyone care???

It's more than just bringing

someone to Sunday School.

And obeying "the church rules..."

It's a matter of sharing your

faith with those who are lost.

And not being ashamed of

the message of the cross.

If we deny Christ.  He'll deny us

 before his father's throne.

Isn't it about time that you get

 out of your "comfort zone?"

You may be the only Jesus

 that others will see...

Where will those you know...

Be spending their eternity?

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
