Many In Church Have Compromised God

Many In Church Have Compromised God’s Holy word!

There’s scripture that many in church say doesn’t apply.

They’d rather turn God’s truth into a corruptible lie.

It appears that many in church want what “soothes them.”

They live a compromised life that truly fools them!

They want to make as many “friends” as they can.

Righteous and holy living, they don’t understand.

Many in church no longer want to seek God’s way.

They’d rather listen to what others have to say!

Preachers with “itching ears,” is what they seek…

Meanwhile, they’re spiritually blind and weak!

It’s time to stand up for God and his way of living!

Think about God’s holy truth and what he’s giving!

He’s given his words of life, to daily guide us!

He’s given his Holy Spirit to be here beside us!

Believing and living 100% by God’s word is the key!

If you want God’s abundant life and victory!

2 Timothy 4:2-4Amplified Bible (AMP)

preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
