Put Your Trsut in God!

Put Your Trust In God
In our flesh...  No good thing
does dwell.

If we're not careful...
It will lead one to hell.
So be careful when your
brother does sin.
It can happen to you...
And you don't know when.
Every temptation has
 the same goal.
To bring you into bondage...
And to damage your soul.
The word of God is true
and is so clear.

That things aren't always
as "good" as they appear.
When tempation comes your way.
 Don't take a chance!
Don't give it "a second thought."
Or "take a second glance."
The purpose of Satan's "tricks",
the BIble does unfold.
Everything he tells you,
is "the biggest lie ever told."
One thing I pray.  And hope
you'll understand.
Is to keep your eyes on Jesus.
 And not sinful man.
What kind of life do you
really have to give?
May you have God's victory
 each day you live!

About the Poet
I and my wife have 4 grown children and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I've spent much of my life doing volunteer work in the food distribution for the needy among local churches. Many of the poems I've written are a reflection of times of adversity as a reminder of God's love and faithfulness. I've found many opportunities to share my poems with those who are hurting and discouraged. I'm thankful for the reports of many of the poems touching people's lives. I hope that the poems included on Wordchimes will touch and bless your life too!
