The Language of Tears

The Language of Tears

I looked across the room right into her face,
As tears begin to fill her eyes.
Think hard about the decision you are about to make,
And how it will impact so many lives.

A mother heart-brokenly confided in me,
As tears softly fell on her cheek.
My son was eleven years old last month,
And he can hardly, read, write or speak.

A lonely widow took me privately aside,
As tears dotted her grief worn face.
I am so lonely without Harold,
Are you sure, God can give sufficient grace?

He was told he was no longer needed,
As his friend, tears came to my eyes.
Often times before I warned him about his temper,
He lost his job because of his continual seeds of strife.

Spanish, French, German and English too.
Not everyone can understand,
These languages of timeless years.
Yet, there is one language we all understand,
The translatable language of our shedding tears.
