Blessing Vs. Adverfsity

 

'Tis the season for games, outside and in,
Baseball, Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey etc.,
However, by far, the most important game,
Is the daily match when
Blessing Vs. Adversity.

Your team may be number one or last on the list,
In Baseball, Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey etc.,
Yet, your heart and soul cries foul,
When Blessing is losing to Adversity.

Practice Hard! Play Smart! Play as a team!
These are the much sought after winning keys.
To make your faith a winner each time,
There is a game between Blessing and Adversity.

Jesus said, In the world you will have testing,
Be of good cheer, trust in me, wait and see.
He powerfully won -- you and I can too,
In this sometimes overtime game of,
Blessing Vs. Adversity!

About the Poet
I am 73 years old and have not written poetry in these past many years For my wife of 73, my daughter of 50 and my son, 44 in the Army National guard I write this poem in faith but also with tear.
