In the Shadwo of His Presence

 

Come unto me, Jesus said --
And I will give your soul a rest;
Even in the midst of the anxiousness,
Of your faith's most difficult test.

Trust in His Lordship --
With all of your troubled heart;
Begin the gift of each new day,
With His Spirit's anointed fresh start.

Through His Person and power --
You can do all things;
He will help and strenghten you,
If to Him, your soul doth firmly cling.

Though you may walk through --
The valley of faith's most difficult test;
Do not be afraid -- For victory is yours,
In The Shadow of His mysterious presence.

About the Poet
I am 73 years old and have not written poetry in these past many years For my wife of 73, my daughter of 50 and my son, 44 in the Army National guard I write this poem in faith but also with tear.
