School Days Are Over!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by George David Denson

School days are over -- at least for another year.
One hundred and eighty days of labor,
Filled with blood, sweat and loving tears.

Teaching Math, English, Science, and so much more,
Helping our children, read, learn and grow,
Has to be one of life's most joyous chore.

In our society, entertainment has become our god,
Sadly, our teachers and our children,
Often receive nothing more than a half-hearted nod.

Education not entertainment should be priority # one!
Even Harry Potter would agree,
Such an awesome challenge must not be left undone.

School days are over, but soon they will begin again.
One hundred and eighty days of urgent labor,
O' that we would no longer betray our best friend!
