Victory At The Sea
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

One evening the disciples and Jesus
Went sailing across the Sea.
A great windstorm arose,
And their boat was sinking,
The disciples did believe.

The disciples furiously fought
To save their treasured boat.
While Jesus was fast asleep,
On a cushiony pillow so soft.
Do you not care that we perish,
The disciples shouted loudly,
As Jesus they frantically awoke!

Where is your faith, Jesus said,
As He rebuke the wind and the waves.
A miracle victory at Sea
Is my faith-gift to you
On this most stormy day.

The disciples Victory At The Sea
Is a wonderful promise of Victory
For You and For Me!

Once again, Peter and the disciples went fishing
On a redemptively designed fateful day.
Children, have you caught any fish,
A familiar voice to them did say.
No, they answered, not a bite
Through the night, not even a single one today.

Cast your net on the right side of the boat,
And you will catch many
A familiar voice to them did say.
He was right, 153 fish in the sea afloat,
Caught in the net was fish aplenty
What an unbelievable fisherman's payday!

The disciples Victory At The Sea,
Is a marvelous promise of Victory
For You and For Me!
