The Birth of A Dangerous Day
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by George David Denson

Reality check,
deep inside our patriotic psyche;
Our beloved country is no longer King --
For most of the nations of the world,
have joined a new choir in which to sing.

The U.S.A.
is the only super power left;
Yet, most of the world --
is treating us as if we are about
to commit an unforgivable theft.

Our long-time allies
have found a new song to sing;
Making us wonder if we --
might be standing on the threshold,
of the second coming of the King of Kings!

An urgent call
to bow our knees and pray;
Trapped in this new wilderness --
we heroicly stand and anxiously watch
as our world births a most dangerous day!
