The "Greens" of Spring Are Greener!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by George David Denson

The "greens" of this Spring
Are "greener" than usual,
At least that is the way
It seems to me.
Take an upclose and personal look
At the green grass, the green leaves,
And see if you do not agree.

Why does this seem to be true?
Maybe it is that I turned fifty-two,
Maybe it is because Spring
Was so late to bloom.
It could be a symptom of Post 9-11 trauma
Or the result of present MidEast drama.

Whatever the reason?
Whatever the source?
The "greens" of this Spring
Are "greener", yes "greener"
Than I ever recall
Seeing them before!
