That First Century Christmas
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

That First Century Christmas

A unique gift was given on that first Christmas Eve,
It was not the gift of gold, frankincense or myrrh;
No, twas the gift of God's self-revelation,
To a very sinful, confused and hurting world.

A dawning of a new day for God and man,
Took place on that first Christmas morn;
A new relationship between creator and creation,
Was joyfully, redemptively, and powerfully born.

A very strange sight to see,
At the end of that first Christmas week;
Certain wise men riding on large camels,
The King of the Jews, they said, we do seek.

A testimony of that first century Christmas,
Was written as history's timetable was forever torn;
B.C. means before Christ was on earth,
A.D. means today is lived, "In the Year of Our Lord"!
