Rejected Love--Elusive Peace!

Rejected Love--Elusive Peace!

"He came unto His own --
His own received Him not."
Faith defeating words from St. John,
We plainly and sadly read.
Jesus the Jew, pleaded with His Jewish family,
To accept His person,
And let Him, like a shepherd,
Lovingly lead.

We will not let you lead --
They repeatedly mocked,
Though many displays of His power and character,
They daily saw.
You teach the "Law of Love" --
They openly confessed; however,
We only follow those who teach
The "love" of our traditional Law.

To The Ten Commandments of God and Moses,
We must vehemently and righteously adhere!
"I agree," said Jesus; but,
All "ten" can be fulfilled,
In the "two" commandments of love,
That I and My Father hold so dear.

Love God with all of your heart,
Soul, mind and strength.
Love your neighbor just as you
Love yourself.
Eurecka, let the Ten Commandments,
Become Two,
And the elusive path of peace
Will be graciously revealed to you!
