Rainy Days and Rainy Nights

It is raining again,
As it has done so for weeks.
Light showers, Tropical Storms, Moving fronts --
As if Our God had some reason for which to weep!

Sniper killings in and around Wash. D.C.,
A Middle East Peace that will not keep.
It is raining again --
As if Our God had some reason for which to weep!

Terrorist activity everywhere,
His gospel offered so cheap.
It is raining again --
As if Our God had some reason for which to weep!

Millions of babies aborted on demand,
Children abused and abducted in their sleep.
It is raining again --
As if Our God had some reason for which to weep!

Short, quick and spasmodic prayers,
Bible study as a sneak peep.
It is raining again --
As if Our God has some reason for which to weep!

Come unto Me and live,
His gracious invitation to repent.
It is raining again --
As if Our God had some reason for which to weep!
