Thank you Divine Creator,
For the great show
You put on for all of us last night;
We are so earth-bound and heavenly ignorant,
It was like moving from deep darkness
To a bright illuminating light.

Thank you Divine Creator
For heaven's majestic visit
To our confused and troubled earth;
May your visit cause
On this deeply troubled planet,
Faith's critically needed rebirth.

Thank you Divine Creator
For the radiance of Mars
In our home planet earth's midst;
Taking time to consider the moon and stars,
Is a joy and delight that our souls
Will powerfully enforce and now strongly insist.

About the Poet
I am 73 years old and have not written poetry in these past many years For my wife of 73, my daughter of 50 and my son, 44 in the Army National guard I write this poem in faith but also with tear.
