The Absence of Prayer

The Absence of Prayer

Winter cold,
is the absence of summer heat.
So few miracles,
is the absence of prayer --
For modern man,
is spending too little time on his knees,
and far too much time on his feet.

About the Poet
I am 73 years old and have not written poetry in these past many years For my wife of 73, my daughter of 50 and my son, 44 in the Army National guard I write this poem in faith but also with tear.
