Shadows on the Sidewalk

Shadows on the Sidewalk

A teacher took her children outside
and was overheard to say --
Today, we will learn
how our shadow
helps to brighten our day.
God created Earth's sun
to shine ever so bright;
Look at your shadows
on the sidewalk,
as they are highlighted
in the glowing sunlight.
Light somtimes turns to darkness,
but my children --
you need not to be afraid;
For whether you see it or not,
the sun always shines,
and in its shadows of love,
you can always find your way.
