A New Year's Story Unfolds

Three Hundred and Sixty Four days gone,
One more day to go;
When the clock strikes midnight,
A new year's story will begin to unfold.

Like a fast moving jet airplane,
Time swiftly soars on wings of silver and gold;
When the clock strikes midnight,
A new year's story will begin to unfold.

Like a poet using fresh and time tested images,
Time puts on both new and old clothes;
When the clock strikes midnight,
A new year's story will begin to unfold.

Like the sun that sets and rises again,
Time's flight dares to be ever so bold;
When the clock strikes midnight,
A new year's story will begin to unfold.

Three Hundred and Sixty-Four days have come and gone,
The last day's sun of this year is sinking low;
Just a few more minutes to midnight,
Then, a new year's story will begin to unfold.
