Winter's Night
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Winter's Night

Today, my soul was awakened,
To the warmth and glow of bright sunlight;
Yet, it is the month of December,
And soon cometh forth, Winter's night.
Shorter days -- longer nights,
Sunlight has begun its winter flight;
My soul senses the growing darkness,
Of another cold Winter's night.

Cold rain, sleet and frozen snow,
Hides the warmth and glow of daily light;
Adding more wood and coal to the fire,
Only lengthens the shadow of Winter's night.
Adversity, illness and tragedies too,
Life has its own winter nights;
When they cometh forth, my soul must choose to walk,
In the warmth and glow,
Of my Heavenly Father's bright Sonlight.
