War Is More Than A Video Game!

Let us attack Iraq,
Possible conflict with North Korea the same;
Let us not forget,
That war is more than a video game!

America's redemptive destiny --
Yes, she needs to reclaim;
But let us ponder hard the fact,
That war is more than a video game!

Thousands of our troops on land,
in the air,
and on the sea
Preparing for war, male and female the same;
Let us consider soberly,
That war is more than a video game!

War is necessary they say, we must
oust Sadamm Hussein in freedom's name;
If we must, please let us pray --
for His providential care over our troops,
For truly, war is more than a video game!

About the Poet
I am 73 years old and have not written poetry in these past many years For my wife of 73, my daughter of 50 and my son, 44 in the Army National guard I write this poem in faith but also with tear.
