I will Awaken The Dawn!
A poet of long ago and far away wrote.
With words of courage and faith,
His poetic pen did powerfully stroke.

Often before the sun rises on our day,
Our needs become greater than the yearning morning light.
We may have spent much time on our knees,
Asking for His help,
In the darkness of our pre-dawn night.

It is in anxious times like these,
When answers to our prayers are often delayed.
That we must challenge the sun to rise speedily,
And bring answers to the urgent request
That we have fervently prayed.

I will Awaken The Dawn!
The Psalmist joyfully touted.
I will Awaken The Dawn too!
Through these prayerful poetic words,
That my computer has gladly shouted.

About the Poet
I am 73 years old and have not written poetry in these past many years For my wife of 73, my daughter of 50 and my son, 44 in the Army National guard I write this poem in faith but also with tear.
