The Master of the Sea
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

The Master of the Sea

I am going fishing,
Peter said to the disciples late one day.
We'll go with you, if you don't mind,
The other disciples were heard to say.

They fished all through the night,
No fish caught became the seed of a faith-tested lore.
A silhouette appeared at dawns first light,
Commands on where to fish came from a familiar voice on the shore.

Cast your net on the right side of the boat,
The Master of The Sea insightfully shouted.
Immediately the disciples did so with renewed hope,
153 fish were caught -- It is the Lord, the beloved
disicple boastfully touted.

Bring some of the fish you have caught,
Come, share beakfast with me, The Master of The Sea said.
Quickly, joyous memories of what The Master had taught,
Begin to dance in the disciples hearts and heads.

Today The Master of The Sea still speaks to you and me --
Cast your life on the right side of God's Kingdom,
Catch the fulness of life and have it more abundantly,
And shine as "Fishermen of Men" as bright as the
noon-day sun.
