A Moment of Truth

A Moment of Truth

On St. Patrick's Day in the year of our Lord 2003
A moment of truth has soberly come home for you and for me.
Not only for us, but for our whole world,
As we enter another desert war's wind blown swirl.
As God hardened Egypt's Pharoah's heart,
So Israel could be freed and have a new start.
This moment of truth is born from hearts that are hardened,
So that our sins, God can forgive and abundantly pardon.

Facing this moment of truth,
Let us all fast and pray -- For God to lead America
Through this coming night of war,
Into the dawning light of a new spiritual day.
