Falling Leaves...

Falling Leaves

Summer has gone,
Fall is here,
Winter is sure to come,
And we will soon close another year.

Ending a year of our life,
Is like finishing a chapter in a book.
You are glad you have arrived,
But wonder if you need to take a second look.

What could you have done better?
Where did you go wrong?
Our actions serve much like a leveler,
Weighing the worth of our year long song.

Does your song have a country flavor,
Or maybe a little too much rock and roll.
Or was it a wonderful symphony lived in His favor,
As blessed as two lovers taking an evening stroll.

Fall is in labor,
Winter will follow her falling leaves.
Another year will be left for us to savor,
While we contemplate on life's horizon,
the new year which is yet to be.
