Jessica's Song
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

Private Lynch is an American soldier,
Dressed in her uniform ever so true;
Placed in the spotlight without personal desire,
For she, a female in combat, is an American soldier too!

She lost her close comrade, Lori, an Indian
An American soldier, courageous, brave and sure;
Dont forget Lori, and all the others, Jessica's song
Rings out with a tune like the most attractive fishing lure.

Jessica is home now, but we must not forget
Those who have died and continue to daily fight;
May her coming home and this song for and to her,
Be a bright light that dispels the darkness
of this war's passing night.
