Not Under God!

Not Under God!

You may pledge allegiance to the grand old flag,
But don't say under God - No Way, No Way;
A High Court in our country so ruled today.

Though brought into being by a Supreme Creator,
Contemporary America is a product of High-Tech man;
No need to speak of God anywhere in this land.

Enron, WorldCom, and confused judges,
May be more of an enemy of our freedom;
Than terrorists who beat their own religious drums.

Memory burns of a similar case nearly forty years ago,
O'Hare declared my son will not pray;
Not in school, neither in church, nor in our home--
No Way, No Way!

Yesterday's witness, and today's ruling,
Speaks to all patriots loud and clear,
"Under God" patriotism must not be allowed,
From our God-given horizon, to tragically disappear.
