Words of Light

Words of Light

Fitting words of expectant rhyme,
Are like small timely flashlights,
Shining in the midst of darkness,
In our rooms of passing time.

As the headlights of a car,
Guide us through the maze of life's journeys --
A poet's timely visions and thoughts,
Become words of light,
Making our time of travel not quite so hard.

With emotional and often passionate thought,
The poet carefully selects just the right words of light.
Providing for the discerning reader,
An open treasure that often has long been sought.

I see the light--I understand,
The reader of poetry joyfully proclaims!
Through these poetic words of light,
We all experience wisdom's revealing heart,
and ever present helping hand.
