The Sun(Son) Shines Again!
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

Seventeen days without the sight of the sun,
A record for the city in which I belong.
Today, the sun again chose to show its face,
A much needed miracle of this winter's fickled grace.
Not only in my city, but all over this land,
The sun shines bright for most once again.

Tis the season of Lent, a time of hope and trust,
Sunshine for the body, Sonshine for the soul
is a definite must.
Thank you God, for creating the Earth's sun,
Thank you Father, for sacrificing your only Son.
Earth's sun shines to brighten our days,
God's Son lives to enlighten our often confusing ways!
