The Master Carpenter

The Master Carpenter

The Master Carpenter,
That is what Jesus is to me.
Saviour, Friend, Intercessor,
The Good Shepherd,
Who wisely leads.

A son of a carpenter,
Jesus of Nazareth was raised.
As his earthly father built mangers,
So Jesus seeks to build our lives,
To His Heavenly Father's,
Honor, glory and praise.

Upon this rock, I will build,
The Master Carpenter,
Taught in New Testament days.
To build my life, I will gladly yield,
As my future with grace and wisdom,
The Master redemptively outlays.

Seek always to be a masterbuilder,
St. Paul teaches each of us with glee.
Partner with the Master Carpenter,
And with your life, You and Heaven
Will, for now and eternity, be well pleased.
