The Poetic Jabez***
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By George David Denson
Other Poems by George David Denson

Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
And enlarge my territory,
Jabez cried out to God.
May your hand be upon me,
Keep me from evil, that I cause not pain,
As I daily walk my inherited sod.
God granted him what he requested,
As Jabez lived out his faith each and every day.
His life was God's gracious workmanship,
The Holy Bible joyfully and dramatically portrays.

Such simple words from a little known name
Has brought the blessed Jabez of Judah
Much notoriety and unexpected poetic fame.

Inspired by the best selling book, The Prayer of Jabez
by Bruce Wilkinson (Has sold over six million copies).
