All Hallow's Eve

All Hallow's Eve

Tomorrow is Halloween,
The day before "All Saints Day" --
Sadly, the world knows more
About ghosts, witches, and demons,
Than it does about faith's redeeming ways.

Long ago, on November the first,
The Saints would march on holy parade.
Giving God their glory,
As they proclaimed faith's saving ways.

The enemy of our soul was jealous;
Thus, He started his own dastardly parade.
Ghosts, witches, demons and other devils,
To darken the light of faith's pathway.

All Saints Day is November the first,
October 31st is "All Hallow e'en"
One was the seed of the reformation of the soul --
The other was to overshadow good with evil,
So faith's saving light could not be easily seen.
