A Short Christmas Song

A Short Chistmas Song

Happy Birthday Jesus!
A small girl loudly sang out.
It is not Santa Claus or shopping for gifts,
But your birth that Christmas is all about.

Happy Birthday Jesus!
Such a small child I am.
Yet, I will joyfully sing out your worth,
Like floodwaters overflowing an earthen dam.

Happy Birthday Jesus!
Though a small child I may be.
My Christmas gift to you, is my life,
And the willingness to let you always lead.

Happy Birthday Jesus!
I am not too small to know,
That my sins can be forgiven,
Washed in Your blood,
And made white as snow.

Happy Birthday Jesus!
Accept my Christmas song, though short it may be.
As I quietly kneel beside your manger,
Looking up to you, my angel of love,
Atop my faith-filled Christmas tree.
