Eternal Now

Flowing through daily living
There is an eternal knowledge
God Creator, close to his creation
Theologians call it omniscience

It is a personal knowledge
Separate from his creation
But intimately involved
God knows the end from the beginning

It is one of the great mysteries
God's ominiscient pervasiveness
For in that omiscience there is choice
Theologians call it free will

God's Son, Jesus Christ, came to make it real
Free will can in the individual prevail Eternally
In righteousness and godliness
Or in the pits of separation and despair

For when Eternal Now decides
Time will be no more
Our destinies will be sealed
There is a great gulf fixed

Eternal Now (c) 2002 Quentin Clingerman

Author's Note: The New Testament is full of this message from the words of Christ to the writings of the Apostles. From Matthew to Revelation.
