The January Blues

The January Blues

You know them too
The doldrums of the shorter days
Less sun, less fun
Or where did my creativity go?

Looking for it with great care
Gotta be somewhere here or there
Maybe in a nook or cranny,
Could be on the golf course

That's just dandy since I don't play
Waitin' for the longer days
Liftin' of the morning haze
Nothin' on TV to watch

Where are those books
I've meant to read?
My mind has all but gone to seed
My mind has all but gone to seed

January Blues (c)January, 2006, Quentin Clingreman
