Wisteria
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by Quentin Clingerman

Melancholy wisteria weeping copious tears
Limply hanging from languid lonely years
Creeping into the very marrow of the bones
Climbing listlessly the ladders of routine
Leaving dull ruminations without a quarantine

Sitting or standing, like scavengers
searching for bread
They, with cup or cap nearby, stare stolidly at the passerby as though dead
Mindless music may swell from harmonica or saxaphone
Or just the apparently forsaken dullness of dreamless tone

Wailing the unanswerble want
Leaving the mind with a souless taunt

Wisteria (c)2000 Quentin S. Clingerman
