Eternal Father

I am disappointed in myself--again
But never in you
You are my One Hope--Eternal
My salvation, for in you alone I can fully trust

You know me, the depths of my love and need
You have said, "Just surrender it all to me."
I surrender to you whose love is sure
I surrender to you who alone can make me pure

Never far away, you listen even when I do not pray
To hear the cry of my desperate loneliness

When I hear the World's siren cry
I long to be eternally held in your everlasting arms
Thus even in weakness I become strong

Thank you Father. I love you.
Your adopted son
